Ocean Observing System for Monterey Bay
Linking new technologies and data across disciplines of marine science to address key questions for the enjoyment, management and conservation of California coastal marine resources.

As part of the Center for Integrated Marine Technologies pilot ocean observing system project, scientists from NRL, NPS and JPL have developed an online near real-time surface wind demonstration product for Monterey Bay.  This product, aimed at the marine recreational user, shows surface winds from a
mesoscale atmosphere model together with winds measured at four
ocean buoys and seven coastal stations from various CeNCOOS
partner institutions.
