Description: Medium-sized cells. Deep poroids on surface.

Cell Size: Length = 62-66um

Distribution: Oceanic, neritic, cold temperate to tropical waters, worldwide.

Interesting Facts: Produce toxins.

Common Species: D, fortii, D. tripos, and D. rotundata.
